  • Very appropriate. We have a toy kitchen where I volunteer and the two year olds play with it all the time. You may have to play with them in the beginning and offer some guidance but eventually they will play even if you aren't with them.
  • I'm sure it is. The only caveat to that would be if you think your child will try to eat the play food. Two years old is probably old enough not to, but you know your child better than anyone else.
  • If they can eat it without getting choked it's fine. Watch carefully when you introduce it to them though.
  • My daughter was two when she got a kitchen...and she played with it just like she plays with her kitchen now. The babies sat in their chairs while she washed dishes and cleaned the stove, fridge, and cabinet inside and out. By-the-way, she'll be 40 years old in October.
