Hey Cowboy....oops..Texan... I find it frustrating, I find it dangerous, I find it to be the absolute wrong thing to do, I may even find a bit Ironic...But Amusing ....No!! These short term solutions will have a long term effect, and when the barrel of cash has been spent, we will be left with programs that will still have to be funded...This is like an "Adjustable Rate" budget that will balloon in a few years, with us having no way to make the payments...This is doing what got us in trouble in the first place......

It's the way Washington works. Instead of zero-based budgeting, which would be logical, they work on baseline budgeting, which assumes a certain increase in programs every year. When the increase is less than that, it's a "budget cut." This also holds true for the deficit, apparently.

I do not find it in the least amusing that the President needs to do this to fix a financial problem that was long time coming... Apparently his predecessor either didn't recognize the problem, or chose to do nothing about it. Is that conservative logic?

No. But it's a damned sight better than a Bu$hwhacked President Doubling the National Debt in a foolhardy war in search of non-existent weapons of mass destruction.

The only thing slightly amusing is the fact that some people actually believe that he's cutting the deficit. Yet, it's sad because they're letting it happen.

every president from roosevelt on is blamed for the deficit!! its Bush's fault, its Clinton's fault, etc...no president can fix this..especially a socialist one....no one but THE PEOPLE , by taking back their power and money!!!! its really "common sense math"...but a president really can't do much with all the selfish, no common sense,idiots that truly run the show...:)justme
