Here's what happened: A young guy was arguing with his girlfriend in his car. A car in front of him was waiting patiently to turn right, but there was a sign indicating that that no rights turns were allowed on a red. The younger driver must not have seen the sign because he proceeded to honk his horn while his girlfriend yelled at him. I was on the opposite side of the road, waiting for a green left turn signal. As soon as my signal turned green, I proceeded to take a left turn as the young driver lost his cool and cut the car in front of him off and slammed the brakes. This caused a 3 car pile up. He then tried to drive away and flee the scene, pushing me into the sidewalk where he lost control of his car, ended up on the sidewalk himself and missed a pedestrian with a baby carriage by a hair. Everyone got out of their cars to make sure no one was hurt and the young kid and his girlfriend got out and started swearing at everyone and each other. The young guy tried to take off, when two men grabbed him and his girlfriend until the police arrived. Stupid kids started threatening everyone even in front of the police and were arrested. And why did all of his happen? Turns out they were late for a movie and his girlfriend was screaming because she left her makeup bag and wanted to go home to get it. 3 car pile up, my car damaged, his car totaled and a mother and new infant traumatized. All for a bag of makeup. So sad.
