There are so many things you could talk about, from individual battles, tactics, technology, society at war, geo-politics, diplomacy, treaties, the causes, the aftermath etc. Could you narrow it down a little?!

From which angle? Which theater are you doing it over? Are you doing it over causes? I need a more specific question... Important aspects:How the "ally" system caused it to be bigger than what it needed to be. New type of war: Trench warfare, intro to machine guns, intro to toxic gas, intro to planes. Talk about no mans land. Talk about war reparations and effects after the war. You could also talk about how this war spun us into the great depression because of overproduction of crops needed during the war, but not after. This increasing over production led to the decrease in crop sales and an over abundance... and so on :P.

We are not doing your homework for you.

I've always though Social History was more interesting than War History. How about a report about how WWI changed society?

You'll have to decide on your own format from books at the library which give examples -- any "how to get into college" type book will have a few. Your reference librarian will help you find these books at your public or high school library. Topics I'd recommend: 1. The use of chemical weapons, specifically mustard gas 2. The use of an entirely new weapon: the war plane; and/or the end of the horse in modern warfare 3. The disease dangers of trench warfare, which (if I recall correctly) killed more soldiers than combat did

You can also write about the countries that divorced or falled down after WWI.
