The only real difference is that eating it will take the "effects" of nutmeg longer to begin as the acids in the stomach and intestines have to break down the ingredient before it "effects" the central nervous system. However, smoking it will enable the recpetors in your brain to dechiper whether you'll be buzzin or boaking alot quicker. Or for an even quicker "hit" you could snort it, but it isn't pleasant.

Never heard of smoking or snorting Nutmeg. The amount you have to consume is masses and unless you process it to get the active part it is likely to make you very sick! I have done this years ago. I seem to remember boiling it, (loads, about 100g), in water and filtering it, then leave it in a fridge where it separates and a jelly forms on top. You then eat this fairly disgusting jelly!
