Geocoins are little metal disks that are usually used as trading items, collectibles, or travel bugs. If a geocoin has a tracking code, it is probably being used as a travel bug, meaning it should be moved from cache to cache and not kept. Geocoins without tracking codes are usually for collecting, and often have pretty designs. Geocoins are often commemorative, or they may just be pretty; they are usually round but not always.

geo-coins are items that people made that have a regestered tracking code. when you find one DO NOT KEEP there ment to be tacken place to place the tracking code awards the people who own it a certain # of points per mile it travels
