I have found that it is impossible to change other peoples desires. You should find some who has the same ideals as you do. They are out there and you will have a lot less drama in your life when you find them.

Is this a riddle, an enigma? Like when a tree falls in the forest and nobody is around does it make a sound? Sounds like you're going to get conflicting answers no matter who you consult! I guess the religious would say you make a sacrifice if you love her, many others would say it's a "fools errand" you'll never be able to stand it or not have it be an issue in the relationship. I can't even say you're screwed, because it sounds like you might not be!! Tough one, eh?
