Not at all. If you really enjoy doing it, go do it. I've been acting since I was 10. After college, I moved to NYC and stayed there for 3 years. I got to do some acting gigs and I had a great time, but ultimately decided to move back to my home town. NYC just wasn't home for me, but that doesn't mean I regret it. You never know till you try. There are some actors who have been virtually unknown for decades and suddenly they get a great part and become award winners. It happens. Go for it.
