  • In my opinion and from what I know, some peoples brains just work differently in ways that allow them to learn faster, remember more, and make more intelligent deductions. People that are referred to as geniuses and savants. I dont think if i studied twice as much as Einstein I could even be half as intelligent as him.
  • No. Everybody is born with different ability. Its how you use this ability that counts....if you study/if you dont study etc Just my take on it
  • No, it would then depend, on what resources, Teachers, books, etc., that are available to you.
  • No. Some people are born with greater intellect than others. Just like some are born with lower. It depends on many factors, mainly your parents`s intellect. Intelligence is hereditary, birth defects or complications withstanding.
  • This is part of Nature vs. Nuture. It is accepted that, the more exposure you have to education, the more educated you will become. If we were all given identical opportunites there would still be a difference, though. Some people have a problem being motivated to read books, such as an artisic person. For them, books aren't their thing, but their art inspires others. IQ is a strong determining factor even though it is common knowlege that there is no standard by which to accurately measure it. Then there are the vocations subject to social disparities. Doctors are held in high regard (sometimes without due cause) while a social worker with a Master's degree could dedicate her entire life to helping others and never recieve the same regard doctors enjoy.
  • No. First we are all born with a certain innate intellect. This varies from individual to individual. After that there is how we are educated and raised. If "who you live with" means your parents, then that affects how our our intellect develops. Also the mentally ill are not automatically unintelligent. They are just as intelligent as those not mentally ill unless they have a learning disorder and, even then, their intellect is only affected in the specific way that the individual learning disorder affects. The only way I can see how where you live could affect intellect is if you live somewhere with decent schools and any adverse affects from severe environmental pollutants.
