Not if its a game based on leveling where you can never catch up with the people who have been playing 2yrs. before you. Games like these mean basically you can only be challenge to people within 5lvls of you realisticly. The worst are WOW and EVE.

If you enjoy it, and only if. I use to play WoW, and the ultimate reason was that I had a chance to "hangout" with my brothers in a virtual realm. Being one lives in Japan, and the other is on the other side of the country. Playing a game online with voice communication program is good way to stay connected. For the sake of leveling and the illusion of "getting better", on the other hand, is just a bunch of Tom foolery. Alas to each his own.
