Have you ever found it hard to forgive someone close to you,and did your relationship ever recover?

Well yeah my ex cheating. i gave him 2 chances as it was via cam/video phones but after the third time i booted him out.... he is still sorry, and i took his phone

I also forgave for cheating, and it did recover to an extent...She hasn't done it again, but she seems more self absorbed these days. Don't think its part of the same thing but who knows...

I found it hard to forgive my older sister for kissing my BF right in front of my face when we were younger. I did forgive her though and the relaionship was ok after that.

I forgave my ex-boyfriend for cheating on me, but I did not allow him back into my life or my heart. People who cheat consciously choose to betray the trust of the person they are in a relationship with. I could never be with someone who deliberately and consciously made the decision to hurt me.

I forgave... never forgot... still can't forget. And, no. The relationship didn't recover. Once trust is broken, it is never the same. I guess it is like a bad cut, it heals but it has scar tissue.
