Why is it that on any other website you cannot have the same name as anyone else, but on AB there are like 100 Anonymous's?

I guess that anonymous is not properly a name, on the contrary, is the absence of one.

I don't know why AB is designed that way... I've complained about it to the staff more than once, and never got a coherent answer. Really, the site should enforce unique usernames -- not only is it a problem that there are so many Anonymous', it's a problem that two people can actually create the same username, people can "borrow" usernames from others (and avatars!) and people can change their username at will with no record being kept of their former username. All of that contributes massively to the problem of trolling, because people play numerous identity games and it's harder to hold someone accountable for their behavior.
