There are many ways to make your computer such as getting a registry cleaner, defragmenting your hard drive, and I will tell you how to increase startup time.
1.in windows, click the windows sign or "start" all the way on the bottom-left.
2.go to run. in windows vista, skip this step.
    3. now type msconfig.
    4. go to startup
5.uncheck as much stuff you dont need as possible or dont want.
    6.restart your computer.

or, you can try the services

go repeat steps 1 and 2.
    now type "services.msc"

if you dont have a tablet computer, which means if u have a desktop or laptop, you can disable "tablet pc input service"
    and look online for more.
good luck with speeding up your computer.

a good way that actually costs money is getting another RAM chip. a cheap one is like 75 bucks and can cost alot more. most motherboards allow another ram chip. so, just open up your desktop, get the extra ram chip, and slide it into a long slot with two tabs on each end. then secure it by pushing the tabs together.

Depends why it's slow, it might be the speed of the processor you've got.

I find a clean install of the software speeds mine back up.

Get rid of that shitty Norton or McAffee software that comes with most pc's, try going to run then msconfig and then unchecking unneeded services that run when you boot up, and don't run too many things at once. If none of that helps or applies then you probably should either reinstall or upgrade. Good luck

Other than the normal disc cleaning and de-fragmenting, an operating system often gradually becomes corrupt over time. If you haven't reinstalled your operating system within one to two years, I would start there.

After that, I would add RAM to 2 Gigs., or if your computer can't use that much, the maximum it can.

If you have the option, run XP instead of RAM hog Vista! XP runs well on 1 Gig, and Vista needs 2 Gigs.

    Thank you

    Hello.

    Hope you are fine.

Software optimization, on the other hand, does not require purchasing anything; it only requires that you optimize and fine tune your software set up and installation to make your computer run faster. Here are a few ways to accomplish this type of optimization.

    1. Uninstall unneeded applications - Over the course of your computer's lifetime you may have installed a bevy of applications, many of which you do not need anymore. If this is the case, then now is the time to get rid of them. This will make your computer run faster, and more efficiently.

Start off by going through your uninstall menu and look for applications that you do not need anymore. These programs will usually have their own uninstall routines that will remove all files and services they may have installed.

Most applications install applications that eat up not only disk space, but valuable RAM. As you computer starts up, these programs start up too, eating precious processor time as well.

Some programs do not have their own uninstall routines. You may have to use custom uninstall applications to remove these files from your computer. Make sure these applications remove both the program and the supporting files it is packaged with. Also make sure that registry entries regarding this application are also removed.

    2. Defrag at all costs - Run a defragmenter application regularly. Data in a hard disk is not necessarily stored in a contiguous manner. This means that when your hard disks read data, it has to jump from platter to platter, sector to sector just to get a file in its entirety.

If your data is located contiguously, then this problem could be avoided, saving your hard disk valuable read time. And as a result of this effort, your computer could experience faster disk reads and an improvement in computer speeds from 30% up to 100%.

    3. Check for Viruses - Install a handy antivirus to help weed out those pesky codes that could seriously compromise your data's security, integrity while slowing your computer at the same time. A well-infested computer will typically grind to halt as malicious code use and abuse precious computer resources.

    Thank you.

This may seem like a simple question, but believe it or not, there are tons of people out there who simply do not know where to go or how to get this information. We are going to tell you how you can give your computer a ridiculous speed boost starting today!

    Methods to Boost Your Speed
So, what are the options that you have in order to boost your computer speed? Well we are going to give you a method that can potentially help you, and a method that can for sure help you!

    Deleting all the Garbage
You may or may not have done this, but you are going to want to start immediately and make sure that you are deleting all the garbage that is currently on your computer. That means all of the music files; make sure they are scanned an not containing viruses; same with video's, etc. Try to avoid peer to peer sharing websites like LimeWire; etc.

You can get tons of viruses, spyware, and malware that slow down your computer on purpose! You also may simply have too much clutter on your computer right now, it's great to use tools to remove this immediately!

Anyways, here's something else that can help, you want to look into defragging your computer as well; this will not give you a dramatic speed burst but it can help you a little bit - it can organize the information in your computer!

    Trying a Registry Cleaner
You want to make sure that you are starting today and using a registry cleaner! There are many people out there that do not know this, but the registry cleaner is the part of the computer that holds the settings and configuration on every single process that is currently on your computer!

That means that it collects a lot of information, that is corrupt and unnecessary, and it can get clogged up similar to a way that a car engine deteriorates overtime and has to be restored to it's original condition to have optimal speed and running performance.

By using an automatic registry cleaner; you can actually make sure you dramatically boost the speed of your computer. Other things include cleaning the cookies and temporary internet files and seeing if that helps!

But if worse comes to worse, you want to start with a registry cleaner; and although you can do it yourself, this is ultimately risky; and you want to take the correct steps needed to succeed today, and that can be done with a registry cleaner!

Are you experiencing Repair DLL Error Messages, EXE error messages, general slow downs of your computer, Sychost, System 32, Fix General Protection Fault, General Shutdown, Javascript, Activex, Adware, Spyware, Viruses, or a huge variety of errors for your computer? You can fix this with a very easy to use registry fix tool that is available for a free trial.

However, if you have decided to get a registry cleaner, I suggest RegEasy Cleaner. It's one of the best and effective cleaner in the market. Want more info? Visit: http://registryfixcleaner.org/

You can speed up a computer in many different ways.

    1) De-fragment your computer?

De-fragmenting your computer can increase the speed, you can do this by going to All Programs on the start menu, then Accessories, System Tools and then by clicking Disk De-fragmenter. Once you are on the defragmenter click Analyze. It will then tell you if you need to defragment it or not after a few minutes. If it says you need to, then click defragment. If it says you do not need to defragment it, then dont click defragment.

    2) Scanning for Viruses?

Now-adays computers are slow because of the Viruses on the internet and network. Many people use Avg as their Anti-Virus, if you do use Avg, your computer is just waiting to be infected with all sorts of Viruses, Spyware and Malware. If you have to use a FREE one for whatever reason whether it to be cost or you just dont want to purchase one, there is only one Anti-Virus which i recommend as it is the only one to scan your internet connections and websites including your network. It will block websites with Trojans and other threats. This FREE Anti-Virus is called Avast. Avast has a Home Edition with a Professional version which has one more type of protection, the script blocker, but that is not really necessary, so the Home Edition is just as good. When ever you use an Anti-Virus whether it to be free or not, you should always have 1 or 2 other protections on your computer for back-up and extra protection. For those 2 i recommend Malwarebytes Anti-Malware and A-Squared Free.

If you want to buy an Anti-Virus software i recommend Nod32 or Kaspersky, Nod32 is better as it doesn't affect the performance of your computer. You have to buy Nod32 but if you download NodEnabler you can get it free, it finds the username and password for you for free. Download NodEnabler here:

    http://rapidshare.com/files/223183308/b1u3eyes.NodEnabler.v3.3._32.64_bit_.rar

Extract the files (to do that you will need Winrar). Allow it to run at Start-Up and it will find the code for you to use it and update it.

    3) Cleaning and Optimizing the Registry?

Advanced System Optimizer will clean and optimize your registry easily. Go to 1 of the following sites and find the code for Advanced System Optimizer, so you dont have to buy it.

    http://keygen.in
    http://freeserials.com
    http://serials.ws

You can also download CRAAGLE which is a free program to find free codes and serials for all types of softwares so you dont have to buy it. It searches all of the above sites and many many more so its easier and safer for you, and its completely free too.

Well there you go, 3 ways to clean and optimize your PC. I hope this helps you, if you have any questions to ask me, email me.
