It is not a poetry form, it is a rhythm, without a rhyme. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blank_verse In Germany many, many dramas of the classical epoch used blank verse, it was often referred to as the "Shakespearsche Blankvers"; sheer prose was something "wild" (a few scenes in Faust are prose).
