  • In all scientific terms, humans ARE animals. Mammals to be more specific. Just because we are (arguably) the most intelligent animal, does not make us any less of an animal. If we're not an animal, what are we? A plant?
  • Yes and no. We're mammals with thumbs.
  • They're mammals. There are differences between species but that doesn't make human better or worse than other animals. We have our values like intelect but we naturally can't make net like all spiders do or fly like birds.
  • Of course. What would it be otherwise? Would it be, "We are the same thing as animals, but we are somehow different because we are the ones that dictate the definition of what an animal is!"? Doesn't make a lick of sense.
  • Yes absolutly. We are: Animal, Chordata, Mammalia, Hominidae, Primate, Homo, H. Sapien. There is simply no arguement! Every living thing (at least the ones we know of) can be classified as Animal, Plant, Fungus, Protocista or Prokaryotae (although a sixth possible kingdom is being debated). Humans are most definatly in the animal kingdom.
  • Definately Yes, if you consider a Chimpanzee as an animal we have 99.9% same genetic make up Having Checked this figure i have come up with similarity ranging from 95%- 99+%
  • Well, we are not plants or fungi, and we have more then one cell, so that makes us animals.
  • Well of course we're animals. What else would we be? How are we not? People are animals.
  • We're in the kingdom "Animalia", so yes. We're nothing but smart monkeys, really.
  • humans ARE animals. We belong to the kingdom animalia...meaning, of coarse, animals. Humans evolved from the same ancestor cheetahs did, or lions, sharks, etc. Humans are no exceptions to the kingdom. We do not have our own special kingdom just because we have more far complex development than our animal counterparts.
  • Let's see, there are 2 taxonomic kingdoms- plants and animals. I'd say that with the exception of couch potatoes that we are animals.
