  • If you aren't healed right, you could rupture the disc again. If you really want to work out, your doctor can tell you exactly what types of exercises you should be able to do.
  • just settle your urge to excersise with things like tae-boe, or other things that do not involve lifting or too much stretching. do long walks instead of jogs, it is better to make a few small life changes not only durring recovery but for the long term to avoid being in this situation again. they are other ways to stay fit. good luck and i am glad to know your recovery is going so well you feel like lifting weights, even if you can it would not be wise.
  • see your doc and ask for a prescription for physical therapy. the physical therapists can show you safe exercises to strengthen your back, and they and your doc can tell you what your are able to do and when.
