  • Meditation. Just keeping busy with something demanding works for me. When I can't take my own brain I skateboard. It requires all my attention.
  • I actuall know how to pull the plug on all the Electrical generators in real life - including the windwills. Bu I don't. OMG the mind - guess it is not an option.
  • Get busy with a really complicated, technical task. Unfortunately the windmills still start to turn in the easy stages of the job.
  • Step out of the wind.
  • I either listen to some music, or do something more physical to relax. What that physical activity might be, you can only guess.

  • Do something to distract myself. Playing a computer game, or answering some questions here often work.
  • With cheese. I dunno. Sometimes it works.
  • Call the US Department of Energy and tell them you've developed a prototype for an alternative energy source that runs on thought power alone. Within a few hours, some scientists, several beaurocrats, a couple of congressmen, and a half-dozen reporters show up at your front door. Amid the smiles and handhshakes, you agree to sell the R & D rights to your windmills for a few billion dollars. You pose with the congressman, who leave as soon as the photo op is finished. The scientists perform a quick windmill-ectomy, whisk the goods to a super-secret location someplace in New Mexico, and nobody ever hears another word about them. The windmills in your mind have been stopped.
