Girls ONLY PLZ : PROM GARTERS : whats the reason & purpose of wearing one to the prom besides " its a big deal'' ? how do u take it off? Do u let ur date take it off? I never heard of this before

I have never heard of wearing a garter to prom.

It's just a tradition to Prom. But not everyone buys/ wears a garter. And no it's not a big deal. Last year I took it off myself. But I know a couple of people who had their dates take it off for them. But it doesn't matter what way you take it off. But you don't need to buy a garter if your on a budget!
