  • It would depend on what type of pulmonary problems she is currently having (COPD?) and even then, it would probably merely be a guess as to the real cause. There is no precise way of knowing, but if she smoked for that long, there is no question that her lungs were damaged and weakened. Using her childhood pneumonia as the reason, while possible, is also a way for her to still get a plug in for her stand on smoking all those years. :) It doesn't really matter what caused it at this point does it?
