I have had Great Danes, Rottweilers, Dobermans, Chihuahuas, Schnauzers, Wirehaired Pointing Griffons, Labs, Irish Setters, Scottish Wolfhounds, Pomeranians, Shorthaired Pointers, Australian Sheppards, but the best dogs I have been proud to own are mutts or crossbreeds. My favorite 2 dogs has been a Schnauzer/Scottie cross and a Rottweiler/Australian Sheppard. The first one, I rescued at a bar about 4 years ago, he was laying in the parking lot when I was backing the van up to the door to start unloading my equipment for a show that night. When my little brother yelled stop. I just about ran him over. He was laying there looking dead. I scooped him up and hauled him into the bar and got him some water and food. He plays fetch, dances with my niece, and stays by my side all the time. He has been a loyal companion since. The second one, my Rotty/Aussie cross, I had a record Rottweiler (he was 276 pounds 125 kilograms with 5 percent body fat when he died) knock the fence down and go galavanting around the neighborhood. About fifteen weeks later my jack*ss neighbor was beating on my door with an ugly puppy and a potato sack stating that my sh*tty rott had knocked his "prize" princess Australian Sheppard and he was going to the bridge to dispose of the mongrels. I looked over the pups and realized that those pups looked just like my Budweiser I told him that I would find them a good home. I kept the runt out of the litter who turned out to be the most loyal dog I have ever owned. She would stay in the bed of my truck all day at work and never stray off. I really miss her and her father.

I've had Newfoundlands since the 70s. But in the past I've also had cocker spaniel, German shorthair pointer, labs, whippet, malinois, and great danes, poodles, manchester terrier, to name a few

I used to have a chow chow. Then a few years later got a Japanese Chin. A few years after that my family and I got another Chin, 4 Cavalier King Charles Spaniels, and one Boston Terrier. All of them are purebred to my knowledge. Kuma, Tony, Annie, Stetson, Clover, Chelsea, and Toby.

I have had lhasa apso shih tzu mix, a rottie, 2 german shep/black lab mix (they were brothers!)...2 chihuahuas, a terrier/schnauzer mix, and I have a basset hound now.

Cocker spaniels and a beagle. Love 'em dearly!
