There are several. The one that comes to mind is a telephorter. Yes like as in Star Ship Enterprises Star Track, except the teleportation level we have, is only a few elemenary particles at a time. We have done it successfully though, so we know it's possible to do alot more with this technology, including gathering huge amounts of information from far away regions of our universe, using the concept of duality and teleportation, the need for long distance space travel for accumulating knowledge will be no problem at all. Without the need for astronauts and at a fraction of time.

The Canon XSi is the newest piece of gadgetry I own. It's pretty advanced. Then again, my iPhone is also technically remarkable. And so is my time machine.

As far as personal property goes, I would nominate my Nikon D3X digital SLR camera. It captures 14-bit RAW images on a 24.5 megapixel sensor the size of a 35mm film frame. I love it. This beauty helps quiet my inner geek.

My high definition digital camcorder, my digital camera, my mini laptop. Being able to plug the camcorder into the mini laptop while being outdoors, connect to ustream.tv and broadcast live video over the net.
