Well, it doesn't technically play them in your browser, but there's an add-on called FoxyTunes which allows you to control just about any media player from your status bar. I use it every day -- it's my favorite add-on!

There is Foxy Tunes at https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/219 You can just run WMP and collapse it to the task bar. All the controls are then at the bottom of the screen and it works anywhere with no add on. ₪ ɦəlʞɹÉq ₪
