Did you mean "Why do some men lie outwardly if they get caught?" If so, my answer is because they are afraid of being accountable for someone else's emotional pain, so they try (usually unsuccessfully) to cover their own a**es in order to avoid it.

Men sulk when they are caught lying by their Wives/girlfriends because that's just it!!.. they've been caught. Its never happend to me i'm a good boy ;)
