You aren't screwed. You'll have to take your lumps, for sure, but you can come back strong. It looks like you've already taken the first step - recognizing that YOU are responsible for all of your own choices and have to take the consequences. Go to your parents and find out what you can do to earn their trust. Prove you've learned your lesson and start being accountable. And find your passion. If you figure out what you are really passionate about and pursue it, you'll always be happy.

Since I don't know what kind of trouble you're in, I can't specifically advise you about what to do next. But be thankful that you are 17 and still living at home. Mistakes that you make at this age are easier to correct than those made after age 18, especially in terms of legal repercussions. In some instances, certain infractions may be wiped from your record after your 18th b-day (depending on the violation and your state's laws). At the very least, be glad you've had some life experience. If you had been one of the "good kids", you might discover as an adult that you regret not taking more risks as a young person.
