  • the longest time i went without having my eyes tested was about a year. i had a weak prescreption then, so i didnt notice it at first. then my eyes gradually got worse, and worse, and worse, then i told my mom that i needed glasses. i was ten. what do you expect?!
  • I am the same way and I go every year and the doctor say it is the same and no need for change and I still have trouble and she said that was from getting older and medications and eye strain from TV and comupter.
  • I see my optician once a year for a test but if you are having trouble, you need to be there soon. Have you tried going to the drug store and buying a pair of glasses there (the premade ones)? The pharmacist would help you find the right strength. I think they're about $10-$20.
  • Normally they recommend getting your eyes examined on an annual basis. But anytime you experience visual changes you should be seen sooner-especially if you drive. Many people notice difficulty driving at night and that brings them in for a visit!!! Call around, you may be able to find an optometrist that will work out a payment plan with you or you may find one that does some work free for patients that really need it. Good luck!
