When I was in school, I got picked on a lot for my name. I hated being so different. Now, people still cannot pronounce my name properly (it's Tatania), but I like it a lot better, it suits me.

When I was a kid I hated my name and kids made fun of it but as an adult I appriciate having a different name. Maybe because as a kid you want to fit in and as an adult you want to stand out.

I did get a lot of stick at school because of my name. Most people have a first name and a surname and perhaps a middle name also. Mr and Mrs Bean decided to stick them altogether and came up with Jan-go-bean. It's different anyway.

i kinda like it cuz it's not normal. And in school when somebody says i'm dating tandra or my best friend's tandra or i hate tandra. Nobody says tandra what? like you would with ashley you say ashely.. who? like ashley B or ashley C They all know who tandra is like they dont have to say tandra L

This is a good question! I actually like my name, but its more because it is a family name.

That is a good question. My parents named me after my dad. My dad was a great guy but I would have preferred not being named after him. There are all kinds of implicit expectations about how you're going to turn out when parents do that.

I always wanted a different name until last night when my 5 year old daughter told me she wanted a different name, her name is Chloe, she said she wants her name to be Madison or Bella, awww I love her name, so now I don't want my name different ;-) fun question!!!

I'm glad with mine...thankfully my mom chose it over her previous choice of "Windy". Can you just PICTURE the torment if she'd named me that?
