I like Georgia or Carolina for a girl and Dakota for a boy. I actually have friends whose children are Montana and Dakota (boys), and Georgia and Arizona (girls).

I would name my girl child Virginia because it is where I was born and a state I still love. Or Carolina because it is where I live now and I love it. I would name by boy child Indiana for the obvious reason, that I love Indiana Jones! I do think Dakota is a nice unisex name. I worked with a man once who, while his wife was pregnant with their first child, promised us he was going to insist on naming his daughter Savannah Montana. Thankfully, they had a boy and named him Austin.

I have a 2nd cousin by law named Indiana. No idea whay they named him that. I used to live in Indiana. Wouldn't name a kid that! We have the name Carolina on our list as a potential name for a girl. I think it is very sweet and feminine, almost musical sounding. Also, (if it is a she) will be born in NC.

Georgia (girl) because that sounds the best. I'm not going to name my kid Florida or Utah, come on. Maybe Vermont if it were a boy because that sounds rock n roll, i'm not going to lie

If I were to name a girl after a state, it would have to be either Arizona ( for a nic-name of Ari)or else Indiana, because of the song "There is no Arizona". If I were to name a boy after a state it would be Dakota, but spelled different, because I knew a boy named that and I always liked it. The spelling would be Dakotah.

I did name my kids after states. There first names are states and their middle names are normal just in case they hate their first names. I have three boys and their names are. Dakota James Arizona Michael Montana Joseph They all end in a. Like I said if they hate them thats cool they can go by Jim, Mike, and Joe...normal everyday names.
