  • It depends on the actual appliance. For example, I'm clueless on phones. I don't want a camera, or video, or mp3 player, all I need to do is make and recieve calls and texts. I've got IR and GPRS on mine, haven't a clue what it's all about. So since I don't use these newer functions, I don't keep in touch. On the other hand I bought a new car last week, and it's got lots of fancy features that I've never had before, and so I'm making myself learn them, so they become natural, because I'll be using my car nearly every day, and it makes more sense to learn how to use e.g. the trip computer. So basically, it depends on whether I would be using that type of technology or not. Good question by the way.
