Fact from fiction, truth from diction. Greed comes from a culture of "I want to win but everyone else must lose". Greed happens, I feel, because kids are not taught they can't have everything. And that when you get what you need and what you can actually use the excess is not important. But in this buy, buy, buy, you have to have the latest gadget society people don't want to have just one car, they have to have 5 and all have to be plush. Maybe because they feel it speaks more of who they are if they got more and better than their neighbor.

Greed is natural, even animals show signs of it. Its just not a dominant trait in some of us. Its a survival drive, entirely to dominant of a drive in some.

Well I think it comes naturally because when you are a child you will scream and yell for your favorite toy. It is also when you eat something you like, you want more of it. That is greed and that comes naturally. Sometimes it is to compensate for the loss of something like if you lose a friend one will turn to money so that they don't feel like they have nothing to live for. As for another reason it shows off success and intelligence to own something like money. There is nothing wrong with alittle greed but if it goes to the point where you are robbing banks or robbing the money of the people then I suggest you go seek some help.

    Sin. Selfishness. Possibly idolatry.
    Inordinate desire for a thing.
Greed is not "natural," it reflects our fallenness into sin as a race-- human race.

We are all inclined to evil as the sparks fly upward. Greed is just part of the human condition of selfishness. We are all greedy, unless we work very hard to overcome it.

It's just willfulness on the part of those that act in a greedy manner! They choose to be that way when they could just as well choose to abstain!
