Are we ever going to find a cure for cancer?

I am going to answer this question, with some grave reservations. Do you believe that scientists are really trying to find a cure for cancer? Here is why i ask this question. how much money do you believe annually is given for cancer research? i have no idea. look at the people that are employed or would lose thier job, if a cure were discovered. I guess i am comparing the very quick discovery of aids medications, to the non-discovery of a cancer cure. I do not mean to be heartless in my answer. only that a cure for cancer has been in research for so many years, with only a token discovery now and then. Could it be the money? If i am wrong, someone please correct me and post a better, infomative answer.

There are many types of cancer, and for us to ever find a way to cure them all will not be soon. The "Cure" for cancer implies some sort of panacea, which simply doesn't exist. Still, each day we find new ways to treat and prevent cancer. Cancer is incurable, but it is removable and preventable. Someday, it may be completely unthought of and rare, but no day soon.

They have pretty good treatments for some forms of cancer. I do not have any better evidence but please do not tell me that my hsband whom i buried on the 19th Jan could have been saved but was allowed to die for financial gain. I cannot and will not believe the world is that evil. It is bad enough to know that the ridiculous concoction of drugs caused Metabolic Acidosis , (all the symtoms were missed), and he died very suddenly a long time before we were expecting or were ready for, although he was terminal
