If I receive a citation in another state, although not a traffic citation, and do not apprear in court, what can they do?

if you where suppose to appear in court and fail to do so they can issue a warrant for your arrest.

Put a warrant out for your arrest and if you are stipped in another state you will be in the system and be picked up and put in jail and maybe deported back to the ticketing state or just allowed to pay the ticket and extra fine.

What kind of citation are you talking about, if its not a traffic citation? If its a state citation, this is generally a criminal charge and much more serious than a traffic citation. A state citation is a courtesy, that you will appear to be fingerprinted and appear in court on your court date. If you violate either of the above, a warrant will be issued for your arrest. Living in another state makes no difference.

Depends a lot on what the citation is for. You can plead guilty and pay by mail or show up for court in person to avoid an arrest warrant.

Gotta be a little more careful these days. The computer can keep you in its system forever and ever. If you ignore it and it goes away, okay. If not, just pay to avoid the heartburn.

You can never go back to that state again or you will probably be arrested. You may even get arrested here if the warrant is in the system.
