thanks, but what do you mean by a fictitious name statement?
If you look in the classified section of your local paper under "legal Notices" you will see "Fictitious name statements".This is where it will say something like "Joe Blow is doing business as (dba) Blowhard Plumbing" Basically what it does is register your business name. This is to make sure you aren't taking someone else's name and that no one else will use your name. You will need this to obtain a business licence. You will also need this if you decide to incorporate for tax purposes. It is very easy to do and doesn't cost much.
