Glad to see you ask an intelligent question...without knowing your age, am answering based on generalities...most young people these days are raised to expect things to be handed to them without any effort on their part, ie...an expected gift for 16th birthday is a new car whether or not the child is able to pay for the gas, insurance, upkeep, etc, never mind making the payments; most of the kids I work with expect to graduate college (if they bother to actually go to college) and get an executive-level job making 6 figures/year without any prior job experience, expect to be able to buy an expensive house, live the lifestyle their parents worked for many years to have.

Excuse me? It's harder to achieve in our generation than in any previous ones, by a lot too.

we're not if we've got a passion or motivation to do something. for example - i'm a singer so i practice singing and playing the piano every free hour i have. partly because i don't like people as well haha!
