Yes, but I've been told that if it's for a righteous cause it is not seen as a sin by God. Now before people think I'm talking about martyrdom as in like a suicide bomber, I'm not! Its not the same if you kill other people in the process or something like that. But for example if saving the life of your family from a burning building meant losing your life and you knew that when you went into the building, techinically you were committing suicide but it is wasn't wrong of you to do that.

If a person sacrifices their life to save another then they are heroes.To die saving another is not suicide but self sacrifice.
