  • Matthew 16:16-17 And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God. And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven. Here Jesus answers your questions. He said HIS Father in Heaven revealed ... When Peter said He was the Christ, He says in so many words RIGHT! Mark 13:6 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. This is a quote. Jesus says they will come in His name, saying they are Christ. Again pretty clear answer.
  • I believe the clearest statement may be from John 4:25,26: 'The woman said, “I know that Messiah” (called Christ) “is coming. When he comes, he will explain everything to us.” Then Jesus declared, “I who speak to you am he.” ' Matthew 26:63,64 is similar: 'The high priest said to him, “I charge you under oath by the living God: Tell us if you are the Christ, the Son of God.” “Yes, it is as you say,” Jesus replied.'
  • Also, the part where he talks to the Jews about Abraham and nearly gets stoned for invoking the Name in reference to himself. John 8:58

  • Even if the Bible says that Jesus said such a thing, it is such an old book, and everything written in it is utterly based on here-say. That is to say that in a book based on stories that people remember from up to 4 hundred years before (around 10-12 generations of word-of-mouth religion), not everything can be verbatim from what actually happened.
  • After his entry into Jerusalem on Palm Sunday, Jesus did not deny to anyone, even by silence, that he is the Messiah. See Daniel 9 for prophesy as to why, as the days until his arrival were revealed.
