There are two ways to specify which files sync with Zune. You can set Sync Options to indicate which media types (pictures, music, video) you want to sync; the Zune software automatically syncs the media you specify from folders in its Monitored Folders list (My Music, My Pictures, My Video). You can also add other folders to the Monitored Folders list, and Zune will sync media from those folders as well.

    To set Sync Options:

Connect Zune to your PC and start the Zune software.
Click , Sync, then select your device name.
Click Set Up Sync. The Device Setup window opens.

    Note

If the Set Up Sync option is unavailable, you need to stop the current sync operation before performing this action. Select Options, Sync, Stop Sync to [Zune name].

Under Available Playlists, choose Sync Playlists.
Select the media types you want to sync (for example, All Video or All Pictures), then click Add.
Click Finish to save your settings.
To add folders to the Monitored Folders list:

Select Options, Add to Library (or press F3).
Click Add Folder and browse to a folder you want Zune to monitor.
Click OK. Zune will now include that folder when it searches for media on your PC.
