I'm aware of it. No it doesn't. Iraq and Mexico have a lot parallels. But Mexico is a haven for drug lords. All we gotta do to make them go away is by legalising drugs. Oil on the other hand is legal and isn't making the Terrorists go away.

http://www.kold.com/global/story.asp?S=3394374 The drugs wars going on south of the border should concern everyone. Mexican cartel operators are now routinely crossing the border for kidnappings and murders. American law enforcement can expect to go up againt para-military groups like "Los Zetas."

I'm living in it, literally. I can throw a rock at juarez mexico from my house ON AN ARMY POST. and yes it concerns me, and alot of other people down here that are stationed here, and can't leave. You are right..it should concern people, but sadly, won't concern enough of them. +

I'm not sure I believe that. But if it is true then the US should probably invade Mexico on a false pretense so that after the better part of a decade and a couple 100,000 deaths we can bring them stability too. +5

The death toll of the war in Iraq is still much higher than that of the war on drugs in Mexico, as far as I can see: "Mob murders doubled from 2007, taking more than 5,300 lives last year." Source and further information: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2009/01/18/mexico-on-path-to-becomin_n_158879.html >>>>> ADDED date of the article: January 18, 2009 This means the values are for 2008 "20 Mar 06 - 16 Mar 07 26,540 Civilian deaths" Source and further information: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Casualties_of_the_Iraq_War >>>> ADDED recent casualities: "5 August 2007 68,347 74,753 2 May 2008 83,336 90,897" Source and further information: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Iraq_Body_Count_project This makes, for the minimum evaluation: 14989 and for the maximal evaluation: 16144 for a period of 271 days or 8 months, 27 days. This makes an average of between 20243 and 21803 per year on that period.

"I wonder why the situation in Mexico is not getting more media coverage." Probably because Mexico is not a threat to Israel.
