Question

Help answer this question below.

Do you think the US army should leave Iraq immediately? Wouldn't all people agree ( both Liberals and conservatives ) that if the US army left, there would be an unimaginable loss of human life? Far more then the amount of people dieing now.

JUST answering the questions Without editorializing (excessively.)

    1. All countries (approximately 12)that have troops in Iraq should plan for an organized, gradual withdrawal, letting Iraq step up to full self-government.
    2. All people, libs and conservatives, will not agree about the extent of "loss of life". Critics will voice objections, because that's what they do.
    3. There would be fewer coalition forces dying, but you cannot predict how the opposing forces in Iraq will react- as history has shown.

The only accurate statements you can make about Iraq are:
    1. Our role there will be controversial, no matter what happens.
    2. Whatever we do, it will be viewed as "irresponsible" by a large number of commentators.
    3. We have made mistakes in Iraq.

I believe that the US army should have already left. There is no victory in Iraq and even the congress agrees. To loose one more soldier's life is senseless. How do think the parents feel. The same thing that happened in Vietnam is happening now,and if Congress speaks up and has a binding and not a non-binding agreement maybe the soldiers can come home very soon.Public opinion is against the occupation as was the case in Vietnam and even the soldiers themselves are fed up and want to come home. They have fought longer in this war than the soldiers fought in WWII.It is time to stop.

This is a difficult choice. If we stick it out until a solid functioning democratic government is assured, then can we expect the same economic competition that Germany and Japan have produced? If we pull out suddenly, then which country or power will move in to fill the void as in Viet Nam? Will Iran, Syria, Saudi Arabia, Turkey or Al Queda take the spoils?

Well, if I could I would point out to the answer I gave to another question, but the question is gone now :(.

I'd have to say that, at this point (while trying to be as calm as possible), democrats are acting far too liberal, and republicans far too conservative. Right wing and left wing, if you will.

The democrats believe we should pull out, despite the damper it would put on American morale and on our view to the world. Right now, the thing which we have most to fear is ourselves. Pulling out presents a negative image, simalar to Vietnam (though i wasn't born during Vietnam, so I don't exactly know too much about it)

For the Republicans, well, simalar to the democrats, though some support the war. Alright...I wouldn't be able to elaborate very much on them at this time :(.

Some people I've talked to complain about American troop deaths. Let's look at the death tolls in the second half of 2k6 (might have been the first half): 700+ American soldiers dead. 60000+ Iraqi terrorists dead. We could pull out and just wait a few generations while they kill each other, but that wouldn't be too nice, now would it? >:).

We do need to finish Iraq as it will give an example to the arab PEOPLE that there are better things to have as government than the dictatorships they are under. The smart ones aknowledge this, but are usually killed off. There are, unfourtunatly, not enough 'not backwards' arabs to rise up against their dictators. Once Iraq becomes a stable democracy, then we can (hopefully) let the people in the other countries create democracies (or, as I said before...they can just kill themselves off). Then we can focus on Asia, then Africa, then South America......

I honestly cannot see how it could be worse and yet as I type this I know it's bound to actually go that way. Worse.

It's a lose-lose-lose proposition no matter what. I think we should get that secret teleportation device out and just teleport those soldiers on home and maybe the non-combative Iraqi citizens can be spirited away to some nice, quiet place with good schools. Seal off the rest Escape From New York style and sell it on pay-per-view.

You broke it, you bought it.
Edit: I stand by that. America decided to break that country. Their intelligence service ( oxymoron) made up a reason to invade. They did, they broke the country. They are responsible for fixing that country. I don't blame the Iraqis one bit for being a little pissed off and I'm actually surprised at their patience. If it were me, I'd be blowing the hell out of the people that made mess out of my country and led it to civil war . Hey...look no further than Lebanon. Oddly enough the same agency was involved. Twice. Nicaragua, Panama, Haiti, Cuba. A few I'm sure I left out.
Edit: I did leave one out. Hawaii.

Clean up your mess before you leave the table.

I think they need to do some cleaning up first.

Help rebuild what they have helped destroy.

well the war in iraq is very confidental. Millions of men and women risk there lifes every day in the armed forces. If they get a certain time that there tour date will be they should leave at That date know matter wat.they cant keep extending the dates. The more they extend then more lifes will be lost in the war to stop terrarism. So in my opinion....... They should come home

What I think will not matter. The US military will remain until it completes its objectives.
