Never Got Over Ex. He has a nice job and is well respected. He will never get married and sees me as a low life he can do whatever with.
My plan is to work really hard to get somewhere close to his level so he respects me. Right or wrong idea.

He is a Manager and I was Admin Staff He is on triple my salary. He lives in a big house in a posh area. I live in the roughest areas in a little house still living my parents.

You have a fantastic, healthy outlook. Carry on with your plan. I once knew a stripper. she enjoyed her lifestyle, until Mr. Right came along. in order to have a real relationship with Mr. Right, she knew she had to change her life, 180 degrees. this she did. she gave up the drugs and her stripper-occupation. Was it worth it? did it work? Yes. she is still married and the mother of two children. She worked hard for the gold at the end of the rainbow and so can you. Go for it>

If your reason for wanting to succeed in life is to "show him", you're energies are being terribly wasted. Be done with him! If he actually thinks you're a "low life", it is he who is trolling bottom. He's not even worth your second thought!

why would he give a shit about your income or your way of living, career, etc. if he did get with you, you would never be truly loved. forget him. he's a douchebag

If he don't respect you now he isn't going to respect you after the fact, and if you are going to better yourself do it for you not for some guy who has no respect for you. Think of it like this if you are going to better yourself to get his respect then you have no respect for yourself.
