Jews. A rabbi. An ark (at the front), housing several Torah scrolls. The ark will almost always have a curtain (often velvet) in front of it and a red "eternal" lamp suspended over it. A bimah, a reading table in the middle of the synagogue, used to read the Torah from. A pulpit that the rabbi speaks from. Possibly a menorah. If it is an Orthodox synagogue you can expect to see separate seating for men & women.
