You need to change or add your DESCRIPTION META TAG in the head section of your HTML code. The search engine displays what ever is written in there.

Google doesn't really care much about the meta tag description or keyword listing. What you want to do, first of all, is make sure your keywords and description are relevant for other search engines. Next, for Google, select some "keyword phrases" for Google to pick up on. Try to predict what potential viewers to your page will be searching in Google. Work these keyword phrases (a baseball site might be "baseball memorabilia"; a stamp collector's site might be "vintage stamps") into the text of your page 5 or 6 times each. Don't just repeat them a bunch of times, but actually write something in plaintext that's long enough to include those phrases a bunch of times. For example, say we're going with the vintage stamps example: "Vintage stamps, the postal stamps from yesteryear, is big business nowdays. Vintage stamp collecting is a popular, family-oriented hobby. Our vintage stamps encompass many of the stamps available in 19th and 20th century America. We also provide careful reproductions for collectors of vintage stamps. Year after year, vintage stamp collectors have trusted our company to buy and sell their products." Totally fictional company (I really know nothing about stamps), but you see how I worked the phrase "vintage stamps" in 5 times? Do that with a few keyword phrases on your page. Another thing to do, concerning Google, is work some keyword phrases into the title of your page. For example: instead of the page title just being "Stamp Collectors of Podunk," make it "Vintage stamps from Stamp Collectors of Podunk," and it doesn't hurt to add more keywords too. Finally just try to keep everything contextual. Don't just spout out shit. Actually say something. It helps a lot.
