26 points 'till level 12. And holy cow, it took me quite a while to even get to level 11! How did all of you experts and brains get such a high level so quickly? Do you have any tips?

I'll tell you how we got so high so fast. Let me make this simple for you. *We Have No Lives!* The only reason I'm as high up as I am is because I'm on here at least five hours a day, and answer dozens of questions in the course of a day. It's a matter of obsession. When you answer as many questions as we do in a day, you're bound to shoot up fast, just so long as the majority of your answers are halfway decent, you're bound to get points on that kind of quantity.

I think the answer is to be consistant. I am building albeit slowly but mainly, I enjoy asking questions and rewarding people who answer me thoughtfully. I also enjoy answering people just as thoughtfully.

I haven't gotten anywhere quickly! I've been here since July 2005! Honestly though, I think mostly it has to do with the amount of time you spend here, and the number of decent questions and answers you post. Moderation can help out a bit, but for most people, the majority of points comes from their answers. Just keep posting good questions, and thoughtful answers, and you'll get there. Besides - what's the hurry - this isn't all about the points. It's not like the higher levels get a paycheck and the lower levels don't!

We spend a lot of time on here for whatever reason. i disagree with us having no lives, however. This is human interaction. There are some frivolous questions, but there are alot of meaningful questions with insightful and totally life applicable responses. I think figuring out life is as whorthwhile a passtime as, say, encouraging an online gambeling addiction or catching up with Oprah and Judge Judy. Maybe even better.
