  • get the nicotine gum. It works.
  • Just quit nip it in the butt! think MOUTH CANCER and hopefully a miracle will happen.
  • Of course you can quit it. I myself am a smoker. I've heard it only takes three days for the nicotene to get out of your system, and from there it's a mental battle. My Grandmother smoked 4 packs a day for 30 years or so, and quit around age 45. She decided to quit, and pretty much slept for 3 days straight, and has never smoked one since. After you get over the physical addiction you just have to conquer the mental. If you really want to quit, and just tell yourself you're done chewing...you can do it. You're not alone trying to quit either. There are support lines you can call, and other things to aid you as well. Good luck to you :)
  • If I can quit smoking, you can quit chewing. If you're like me, you shouldn't simply throw out your tobacco. If you do, you may spend a lot of time debating with yourself about going to the store to buy more. No, just put it in the cupboard. Then on the outside of the cupboard, put pictures of people with oral cancer - people who are dead now, unable to eat solid food anymore, etc., etc. You can start with Jack Wild, former child star of the TV show "HR Pufnstuf." Then, whenever you reach for a can, you'll be reaching for cancer, too. Seriously, if I can quit, you can. When I finally did it, I did it cold turkey. Don't screw around. Just do it.
