My wife is 8 days late on her period. She is showing some pregnancy symptoms (sore, tender breasts, noticeable blue viens on breasts, frequent urination, bloating, etc.). She took 2 tests before her period was due. Both were negative. Is she pregnant?

all i can tell you is that pregnancy tests often show false negatives and practically never show false positives. wait a week, take another test.

try it in 1/2 weeks again (pregnancy test). if you can't wait that long you could go to her gp/family planning/ hospital and request a blood test to confirm a pregnancy. you may have to pay for it.

it takes two weeks after conception for a pregnancy to show up on a home pregnancy test. 8 days is not long enough for a definitive answer.
