i clean my teeth twice a day but when i go to the dentist before i set off i clean them again
-
I brush my teeth after every meal. And even before I see the dentist. I would feel embarrassed to have my dentist inform me that I have bad breathe! lol
-
YES! hes in your mouth- clean teeth, fresh breath are a must. Why make it miserable for him/her?
-
Yeah, always. I brush them in the sink in the dentist's toilets if I've just come from somewhere that didn't have a teeth brushing facility. My dentist once told me that I was one of the few people who actually bothered to do it, which shocked me. I can't believe anyone could let someone poke around their dirty teeth unless it was absolutely unavoidable. I think it's courtesy to clean them.
-
Absolutely. When I was a kid I remember going and the dentist walked this one kid out and handed him a toothbrush and some toothpaste and made him go brush his teeth. It must have been horrible in there.
-
Yes, but have not been to one for about 10yrs or more. It's about time for a check-up.
-
Doesn't everyone? Dentists do not appreciate competition from corn on the cob.
-
Duh, of course. I also floss! lol
-
Always. I'm sure my dentist is used to bad breath, but I don't want it to be mine!
-
You would hope so! There is grime on the teeth and germs on the breath otherwise! How rude I was trying to put a picture of teeth on but it won't let me...in the meantime someone gave me a negitive@! Now this guy never went to the dentist and now look at him...oh my gosh thats gross!
-
Ever wonder about what was on your teeth even after you brush them. Thats why we get a dental cleaning (well suppose to) every 6 months.
-
Yes, just like I hose out my crotch well before I go to the gynecologist. Just good manners.
-
I sure do,I'm already scared enough without him telling me I have bad breathe
-
Yes and everyone should!! this question is rather redundant don't you think?
-
Absolutely!!!A must, that would be gross if you didn't,and floss too, because, yeah, ewwwww!
-
Of course. It's a simple courtesy to the dentist and her or his assistants. It also helps them identify any problems with your brushing style - any places you might be missing.
-
Lol yeah my mom wouldn't take me & my brother to the dentist until we brushed our teeth...Eventually it became a habit that still sticks with me today and probably will forever.
-
Most definitly, and wash out your garbage cans after their picked up you'll notice a difference in both.
-
I brush my teeth for about ten minutes straight before I have a dentist appointment. I wanna get in and out of there as quickly as possible!!
-
I definately do! I'd be horrified if the Dentist was like "Wow, your breath is disgusting, you don't clean your teeth." In the same sense, I always wash my hair before going to the hairdressers, even though they wash everyones hair before cutting...
-
Yeah, *blush* longer than usual
-
floss, brush, and rinse. even if it's in the car, i jsut spit in the grass.
-
Of course I do. I, too, was once sitting in the waiting room & heard the dentist tell a patient to go & brush his teeth.
-
Yes, I always do. I know it's not going to prevent cavities though. But, it's more pleasant for the dentist to look at your teeth. It's easier to check for plaque when they are clean.
-
yeah i do. i don't want the dentist to think i don't brush. i also swish a bit of mouth wash.
-
Yes, and I try to floss, too. I think it shows respect and just plane decency and kindness to be clean and fresh for them. I usually do even if I'm just going to town for shopping. I don't want people bowling over. And I figure it makes the dentist's job easier.
-
Brush my teeth, floss and gargle!
-
and gargle and breath mint and dentyne... I am obsessed that I might be exhaling bad odors at my dentist...
-
Of course!! You don't want your dentist thinking you have poor hygiene. And apparently you would if you went to an appointment and your breath smelled as if you had stored Doo-Doo in your cheeks.
-
Yes,you should brush your teeth before going to dentist.
-
yes
-
It's only being courteous and it should be done.
-
It depends on why your are brushing: No matter how good a job you do brushing, there will still be a little bit of food stuck between your teeth. This is expected, and "compassionate" dentist/hygienist shouldn't make you feel bad for having a bits of lunch left in your mouth. The type of cleaning you get a dentist's office is different than the type of cleaning you do with a regular toothbrush. If you are going to brush in hopes of masking months of not-brushing, then you really shouldn't waste your time. Tooth decay and gum disease can't go away with one serious brushing, and you may need to face the fact that you need to improve your home care (brushing, flossing, etc) if you don't like hearing that you cavities.
-
Yup. It gives you a better reputation.
