At my place of employment, we would calculate that 31 hours of a 38.5 work week comes to roughly 80%, so you would earn 80% of the leave time, or about 123 hours per annum.

When you get paid for your week of annual leave - do you get paid for 38.5 hours or 40 hours. If the answer is 38.5 hours, then I would say that you might be eligible for 31 hours per week annual leave for 4 weeks if you work 31 hours per week. However, if you work for a government agency and earn 6 hours per pay period now, giving you 160 hours of leave in a year, then you would probably only earn about 117 hours per year, which would be almost 3 weeks of vacation (at 40 hours per week). To know for sure, you need to check with your personnel office.

how long did it take you to get the 4 weeks of leave? if it was based on one year at 38.5 hours a week, then 31 hours a week would give you 403 annual leave hours
