We are going through same thing. Our mortgage was sold 3 times to other companies in the last 6 months. Its now Cenlar company. When one payment was a week late, they sent the payment back and have refused every payment we have sent since then. This new service company sends a random letter asking us to contact them at the number listed yet there is no number or address listed. We have done some online searching and found a single 800 number, but when we call it gives us a recorded message about high call volumes and rings and rings ( we have let it ring up to 90 times) and no one has ever answered. We tried using there make a payment over the phone to have it tell us we can not complete our transactions, same with online. We recently got a letter from there attorney/ bill collector, they let us know that we have been listed as a foreclosure. We explained that we have the money to pay all the loan payments we owe since we have just been putting them into savings account when they return them uncashed. They informed us we could not simply pay it there would be many other fees ontop of it. So since then we are told we are only behind 1300 dollars in our mortgage and taxes/insurance but with 2 or 3 home assessments at 2 grand each and attorney fees at some 5000 dollars plus filling fees, etc we now owe close to 10 grand for 3 missed payments that we never actually missed they just refused to take. I dont know how you report these fraudulent mortgage companies but I would love to know how!
