I'm right there with ya 'Jellyroll', & don’t diminish your problem it's not silly, 2 - 3hrs kip a night usually, worse if I'm stressed. If you're able to tolerate a little noise when you sleep try playing some music, this allows your mind to focus on that rather than racing away with thought. Or if you're at the zombie stage, I would recommend getting a course of Temazepam to get a sleep pattern established. I know it's illegal but a couple of joints before you try to sleep can also help, not a long-term solution though I’m afraid.

Ok, I am not sure I am getting it but I THINK you are saying that you, yourself, are resisting sleep for some reason. Why do you have to stay awake? Why are you fighting sleep? Are you afraid of sleep? Are you afraid that you are going to miss out on something if you go to sleep? I cannot answer the question unless I know this and, even then, I might, or might not, be able to sleep. With what little information I have I would suggest to you to tell yourself, each time you resist going to sleep, the health benefits of sleep. You are going to be much more productive and feel much better if you get enough sleep.
