  • Once we were on a field exercise, and one of the guys tried to catch a rabbit. He caught it, but it scratched the palms of his hands pretty badly. Anyhow, I don't think he got rabies, but not long after he died of MRSA.
  • You won't get rabies from a rabbit scratch so stop worrying!
  • rabies is usually suspected as something to worry about when your bitten by a wild animal. not scratched by a pet rabbit. it may just be infected. go to the doctor before it gets worse. p.s. theres only a certain time period in which you can take stuff to prevent yourself from getting rabies. it involves a painful injection into your stomach. also your animal will be put down. also, if you don't prevent the rabies and you actually get it, well, theres no cure. so have fun slowly losing your mind until you die.
  • No, there is no danger. Rabbits rarely if ever have rabies. They just are not carriers of the disease. And you wouldn't get rabies from a scratch by any animal unless their saliva also got into your broken skin. It isn't transferred by scratching.
