How many of you men walk around the house in your underwear in front of your kids? How many of you women walk around the house in your underwear in front of your kids? Why or why not?

    It was bad enough walking in on my parents doing the so called "play fighting in bed thing" when I was little but if I had to see them walk around in their undies, I think it would make me clinically insane...plus could you ever have friends over?

    Never! As parents it's our job to ensure our children are brought up properly. I'm sorry, but to walk around the house in your underwear is teaching your children that's an acceptable thing to do at any time, which it is not. Children don't understand only "now". When they see or are exposed to something, they automatically think it's ok anytime.

    never when the kids are around. i'll wear boxers sometimes when its hot and the kids are staying with their mother.

    i remember once when i was in the kitchen dancing with my son and daughter and after a few minutes, my pants fell down, leaving just undies. they laughed!!! i pulled 'em up and we kept dancing. 2 years later and they still bring up the time we were dancing and daddy's pants fell down. embarrassing for me, funny for them.

    Guilty as charged! Boxers and a t-shirt is what I wear when in the house...It's my house and that's just the way I am.

    Only for emergencies, like midnight feedings and diaper changes. After that, I would wear a robe or pajamas.

    We are trying to keep heating bills down so even though the kids are grown, I wear a robe to keep warm.

    I don't see a real reason to avoid walking around in just underwear I just never felt comfortable doing it.

    I don't do it when my son is home, but I do have to say I do when it's just me here, I'm pregnant and pretty far along right now and personally I wish I never had to wear any clothes. ; )

    I have no objection to nudity or partial nudity at home but some people have very old-fashioned ideas about it.

    my dad did. all the time. tighty whitey's no doubt. didnt scar me or anything, i was used to it and didnt think anything of it. my mom on the other hand was always covered, never would she wear just underware around us, not saying i havent seen her stark naked. im a grown adult and we are very open in our household about pretty much everything. haha.

    its not a big deal in our house except for the teen son hes the only one whos totally shy ,funny though he wasnt brought up that way and no-one gawps or points

    Not if I had kids of mixed genders, I mean, if I had daughters, I would, I would want my daughters to be comfortable with their bodys, so I wouldn't hide my body, as long as there weren't any strangers, around, I would want her to be proud of her body, so in front of myself, or my girlfriends, not a problem, but if I had a son, then that's a different story. Anyway, around our place, the guys don't go naked as much as we girls do, unless we are having a sex party. If I actually had kids, I might feel differently, but I doubt it. I don't believe they should be exposed in front of the opposite sex, until they are old enough to understand the sexual implications, and old enough to except the consequences. Again, if I actually had children, I might feel totally differently.

    We sure do. Why? Why not? There are two different models out there: male and female. Once you have seen the other, there is not much more you are going to see. My wife & I are nude most of the time. Our two teenage daughters have grown up being naked around the house. Nudity is not a big deal if you don't make it one.
